Camping FAQ
CAMPING RULES
• Gates open at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 25th.
• All guests must leave the campground and Event property by 1:00 PM on Monday, September 28th.
• No reserving spots. If your group wants to camp together or park multiple vehicles next to each other, everyone must arrive together. Placement is subject to availability and Event operations.
• Vehicles may be searched each time they enter or re-enter the property.
• All campers must have an Official Big Fam wristband.
• General Admission tickets include access to the General Campground.
• Every vehicle entering the property must have the required vehicle pass.
• Camping upgrades are sold separately and do not include a vehicle pass unless specifically stated otherwise.
• Re-entry is allowed, subject to your Credential and security screening.
• The maximum speed on campground roads and Event property is 10 MPH unless a lower speed is posted or directed.
• All tents, canopies, vehicles, campers, RVs, and other equipment must remain within your assigned campsite unless directed otherwise by Big Fam.
• Fire lanes, emergency routes, roadways, pedestrian paths, utility equipment, and access points must remain clear at all times.
• Big Fam may require a vehicle, tent, camper, canopy, or other item to be moved or repositioned when necessary for safety, emergency access, weather, site-plan compliance, utilities, or Event operations.
WHAT IS “THE GROVES CAMPGROUND”?
The Groves Campground offers designated campsites with access to water and electrical service, including 30-amp and 50-amp hookups depending on the camping accommodation purchased.
The Groves is a great option for RVs, campers, or guests looking to create a glamping-style setup.
Guests staying in The Groves also have access to campground bathroom and shower facilities.
The Groves Campground has enforced quiet hours each night beginning at midnight.
WHAT IS QUIET CAMPING?
Quiet Camping is reserved for guests looking for an experience away from the main hustle and bustle while still remaining close to everything near GA Camping.
This is a great option for families and anyone looking for a quieter place to sleep.
Quiet hours are enforced from 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM.
HOW BIG ARE THE CAMPSITES?
Campsites are designed to provide enough room for your vehicle and camping setup.
Unless otherwise specifically designated, camping is car camping with parking in front of or immediately associated with your assigned campsite.
Everything you bring—including your vehicle, tent, canopy, and campsite equipment—must fit within the space assigned to you.
Campsite placement and exact configuration may vary by camping area and site conditions.
The approximate size of each site is 25'x20', which is similar to most camping festivals.
DOES A VEHICLE PASS INCLUDE A FESTIVAL TICKET?
No. Every person in the vehicle must have a valid festival ticket or other Event Credential.
Only one vehicle pass is required per vehicle.
Example: If three people arrive in one vehicle and one person arrives in a second vehicle, all four people need festival tickets and two vehicle passes are required.
Each vehicle in the General Campground receives one assigned campsite. If you have a large group that wants to camp together, purchase the appropriate vehicle passes and arrive together.
WHAT KIND OF VEHICLE CAN I BRING?
Standard cars, SUVs, trucks, and vans are permitted in the General Campground.
Vehicles longer than 22 feet are not permitted in the General Campground. If you are bringing a larger vehicle or RV, you must purchase the appropriate RV camping option.
ARE TRAILERS ALLOWED IN THE GENERAL CAMPGROUND?
No.
Towed trailers of any kind are not permitted in the General Campground.
To bring a trailer, you must purchase the appropriate RV accommodation or receive prior written authorization from Big Fam.
DO YOU HAVE RV HOOKUPS?
Yes.
Designated campsites in The Groves Campground have access to 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups, depending on the accommodation purchased, as well as access to water.

THE BAYOU RULES
The following rules apply to the Bayou:
• No person under eighteen (18) years of age is permitted in the Bayou after 10:00 PM.
• Children may not be left unattended in the Bayou at any time.
• Wagons are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Camp chairs are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Spray paint is not permitted in the Bayou.
• Glass is not permitted in the Bayou.
• Whippets, nitrous oxide (N2O), nitrous tanks, crackers, balloons, or similar recreational nitrous equipment are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Explosives, fireworks, or unapproved pyrotechnics are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Markers, Sharpies, paint markers, or similar permanent marking tools are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Laser pointers are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Drones, UAVs, or other aerial devices are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Totems are not permitted in the Bayou.
• American Indian or Native American ceremonial headdresses or imitations thereof are not permitted in the Bayou.
• Confederate flags are not permitted in the Bayou.
These Bayou-specific restrictions apply even if an item may otherwise be permitted elsewhere on Event property.
Big Fam staff or security may require prohibited items to be removed from the Bayou area and may deny or revoke access for failure to follow these rules.
PROHIBITED ITEMS

🚫 NO SUBWOOFERS OR LARGE POWERED SPEAKERS
As a general guideline, if your portable speaker is large enough to incorporate a carrying handle, it may be considered too large and may be denied entry or removed.
🚫 NO FIREWORKS, FLYING PRAYER LANTERNS, EXPLOSIVES OR UNAPPROVED PYROTECHNICS
🚫 NO GRILLS, CHARCOAL OR UNAPPROVED OPEN FLAMES
Small propane-fueled camp stoves are allowed when safely used in an appropriate campsite area.
Small propane cylinders intended for approved camp stoves are allowed.
🚫 NO PORTABLE ELECTRIC SPACE HEATERS INSIDE TENTS
Portable electric space heaters are prohibited inside tents, canopies, and other fabric camping shelters due to fire hazard.
Properly installed heating systems that are part of an RV or camper may be used according to manufacturer instructions.
🚫 NO EXTERNAL FUEL-POWERED GENERATORS
External gasoline, diesel, or other fuel-powered generators are not permitted.
RVs with built-in generators that operate from the RV’s installed fuel system are permitted.
Solar generators, pre-charged battery stations, and similar non-fuel portable power equipment are allowed when safely used.
🚫 NO GASOLINE, DIESEL OR OTHER FUEL CANS
Small propane cylinders intended for approved camp stoves are permitted.
🚫 NO KEROSENE HEATERS, GAS LANTERNS, CANDLES, TIKI TORCHES OR OTHER UNAPPROVED OPEN-FLAME LIGHTING
🚫 NO PETS OR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS
Service animals are permitted as required by applicable law and are subject to the complete Service Animal rules in the Big Fam Terms & Conditions.
Because Big Fam is an outdoor, multi-day camping festival, guests intending to bring a service animal are strongly requested to notify Big Fam in writing before the Event.
🚫 NO GLASS
Glass bottles, beverage containers, food jars, and other breakable glass containers are prohibited.
Personal mirrors are allowed.
🚫 NO KEGS
🚫 NO DRONES, UAVs OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED AERIAL DEVICES
🚫 NO LASER POINTERS, AIR HORNS OR MEGAPHONES
🚫 NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES OR ILLEGAL DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
🚫 NO NITROUS OXIDE TANKS, CRACKERS, BALLOONS OR SIMILAR RECREATIONAL NITROUS EQUIPMENT
🚫 NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND
This includes firearms regardless of permit status, ammunition, tasers, stun guns, pepper spray, mace, defensive sprays, martial-arts weapons, clubs, bats, axes, hatchets, machetes, saws, and knives other than ordinary small eating utensils.
🚫 NO POWER TOOLS, SAWS OR UNNECESSARY WORK EQUIPMENT
🚫 NO GOLF CLUBS
🚫 NO METAL HAMMERS
Rubber mallets used for campsite setup are allowed.
🚫 NO UNAUTHORIZED MERCHANDISE, VENDING, SAMPLING OR PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY
🚫 NO PRESSURIZED GAS TANKS
This includes nitrous oxide and helium tanks.
Small propane cylinders intended for approved camp stoves are permitted.
🚫 NO BICYCLES, SKATEBOARDS OR SCOOTERS
🚫 NO UNAUTHORIZED MOTORIZED PERSONAL VEHICLES
This includes golf carts, ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, motorized scooters, hoverboards, powered skateboards, One Wheels, and similar devices.
Mobility devices required for accessibility are permitted as required by law.
🚫 NO UNAUTHORIZED STRUCTURES OR LAND MODIFICATION
Without prior written approval, no scaffolding, viewing towers, elevated platforms, oversized structures, carports, pools, hot tubs, trenches, or other modifications to the property are permitted.
🚫 NO LARGE FLAGS ON METAL OR WOOD POLES
🚫 NO AMERICAN INDIAN OR NATIVE AMERICAN CEREMONIAL HEADDRESSES OR IMITATIONS THEREOF
🚫 NO CONFEDERATE FLAGS
🚫 NO SIGNS, APPAREL OR DISPLAYS THAT COMMUNICATE A THREAT OF VIOLENCE OR TARGETED HARASSMENT
COMMONLY ALLOWED CAMPING ITEMS
Unless restricted because of size, placement, unsafe use, or a specific Event area, commonly permitted items include:
• personal tents and canopies that fit completely within your assigned campsite;
• coolers;
• food and beverages in non-glass containers;
• reusable water bottles and hydration packs;
• small propane-fueled camp stoves;
• small propane cylinders intended for approved camp stoves;
• rubber mallets;
• personal mirrors;
• solar generators and pre-charged battery or power stations;
• battery-powered lighting;
• personal cell phones, consumer cameras, and GoPros for personal use;
• normal camping equipment that fits within your assigned site;
• accessibility and mobility devices;
An item permitted at your campsite may still be prohibited in the Bayou, stage areas, walkways, crowded areas, or other locations where Big Fam determines the item creates a safety or operational concern.
CAMPSITE & FIRE-LANE SAFETY
All tents, canopies, vehicles, campers, RVs, furnishings, and other property must remain completely within your assigned campsite unless Big Fam directs otherwise.
Do not place any equipment, vehicles, tents, or personal property in:
• fire lanes;
• emergency access routes;
• roadways;
• vehicle lanes;
• pedestrian paths;
• utility areas; or
• other designated access areas.
Big Fam may require anything improperly placed to be moved or removed.
WHEN DO I NEED TO LEAVE THE CAMPGROUND?
All guests must leave the campground and Event property by 1:00 PM on Monday, September 28th.
